Turquoise Derivatives

LCH.Clearnet Ltd (LCH.Clearnet) provides clearing and settlement services to Turquoise Derivatives which is operated by Turquoise Global Holdings Limited (TGHL). TGHL is a recognised Multilateral Trading Facility offering two trading platforms, Derivatives and Cash Equities. Turquoise Derivatives was created as a result of the transfer of EDX London (EDX) into TGHL. LCH.Clearnet has been providing clearing services for EDX contracts since 2004 and will continue to provide clearing services to Turquoise Derivatives under the same clearing model.

Turquoise Derivatives offers trading of single stock, index and dividend derivatives based on Pan-European and International Order Book (IOB) equities. Turquoise Derivatives has a strategic relationship with Oslo Børs to offer their respective members access to each others’ markets, order book and liquidity in respect of a selected range of products.

By clearing through LCH.Clearnet, Turquoise Derivative clearing members benefit from multilateral netting, counterparty risk management, straight through processing and counterparty anonymity.

25 January - Delivery and settlement of Turquoise Derivatives physical deliveries through the EquityClear service
Further to LCH.Clearnet Ltd Circular No 3044 dated 8 December 2012, which detailed changes to the processing of Turquoise Derivatives contracts, clearing members are reminded that as of Monday 30 January 2012 all equity trades resulting from Turquoise Derivatives contracts will be cleared and settled through the EquityClear service.

We are pleased to inform you that as from the 17th January 2012 we will start to issue service status messages in relation to the LCH.Clearnet Ltd Turquoise Derivatives clearing service.
